Avery Dennison Launches New Cut Vinyl Film Portfolio in North America at ISA Sign Expo

Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions announced today the launch of its new Cut Vinyl Film Portfolio, re-engineered for industry-leading weeding performance and a longer shelf life. The Portfolio of films is incorporated in the “Color with Character” theme of the Avery Dennison Booth #3623 at ISA Sign Expo, March 22 – 24, 2018 in Orlando, Florida.

The Cut Vinyl Film Portfolio features HP750 High Performance and SC950 Supercast Film in the broadest color selection available. The films feature an enhanced shelf life and the fastest and easiest weeding, when compared to competitive products, for best-in-class results. MPI 1105 Supercast Films and the MPI 1405 Film Series will be used in live car and wall wrap demonstrations at ISA Sign Expo 2018 as well. MPI 1105 digital Supercast wrapping films create bold, memorable branded graphics for a variety of indoor and outdoor applications. MPI 1405, a non-PVC, digitally printable film, is GREENGUARD certified for low VOC emissions and can be applied to vehicles or tough textured surfaces, such as brick or cinder block.

Vehicle wrap demos by Steve and Jen Carney of Carbon Wraps Orlando with MPI 1105 and Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping Film will be held at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on March 22 and 23 and at 10:30 a.m. on March 24. MPI 1405 will be applied to a brick wall at 12 p.m. on March 22 and 23 and at 1 p.m. on March 24.

Sappi Maastricht sells south-western part of the industrial estate

Sappi Maastricht and the Belvédère Wijkontwikkelingsmaatschappij (Neighborhood Development Company, WOM) of the Municipality of Maastricht have signed an agreement that will finalize the sale of the southwestern part of the Maastricht paper mill site to the WOM. The sale and subsequent purchase of this land creates a win-win situation for both parties as well as to the local area and will have no negative impact on employment at the Sappi site. In order to survive in this shrinking market and to guarantee continuity and employment, Sappi Maastricht started three years ago with the transition into luxury packaging board. This activity mainly takes place on the north side of the company site. The southwestern part is therefore less intensively used and was eligible for sale to the WOM. Ferdinand Koster, director of Sappi Maastricht commented: "This sale makes it possible for us to invest in the future of Sappi Maastricht. We will use the resources to improve internal logistics and additionally improve the sustainability of our production processes. "
