Inteplast Group Affiliate Acquires Vantage Products Corporation

20/20 Custom Molded Plastics, LLC, an Inteplast Group affiliate, has acquired the assets of Covington, GA – based Vantage Products Corporation and will expand its injection molding business there. Through this new facility, 100 employment opportunities are anticipated over the next two years.

Vantage, founded in 1978, was a manufacturer of polypropylene funeral services merchandise. However, 20/20 is slated to offer a wider variety of custom molded products to its customer base via its increased capacity at the 100,000 square-foot plant which houses two 2,500-ton presses and a 300-ton press. Some products 20/20 already manufactures include pallets, carts, and pool panels.

20/20 Custom Molded President Ron Ernsberger said that the team intends to “transform the Covington site” into a world class facility on par with the Holiday City, OH, and Bluffton, WI, plants.

Inteplast Group President Dr. John Young said that 20/20’s expansion will allow for continued integration of post-consumer and post-industrial regrind in high-quality products from the custom structural foam manufacturer.

“This acquisition is timely for us as 20/20 seeks to expand its footprint in the area of customs molding in order to better accommodate the pressing needs of our many customers. Through Ron and his able team at 20/20, we’ve come to know firsthand several top-notch colleagues at Vantage whom we welcome wholeheartedly to both 20/20 and Inteplast,” said Dr. Young.

Former Vantage Vice President Lisa Barlow will manage the 20/20 Covington site.

Prior to Rubicon, he held several leadership roles with Amcor in Switzerland and in the United States, covering Group Sales and Commercial Excellence, lastly as Vice President for Amcor Flexibles in North America. Prior to Amcor, Marco worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company in the United States and Switzerland.
