New convenience driven package delivers precise portions of fresh, premium coffee

Following the successful launch of the Draft Latte, a distinctive crafted coffee drink using Crown’s InnoValve technology, La Colombe Coffee Roasters and CROWN Beverage Packaging North America, a business unit of Crown Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCK) (Crown) (www.crowncork.com), have partnered again to bring another unique experience to coffee lovers everywhere. The MiniVault, a pre-portioned single-use can, delivers café quality ground coffee to consumers in a vessel that is both convenient for at-home use and extends the shelf life up to five times.

image001The MiniVault combines Crown’s 150ml (5.1oz) slim style beverage can with a custom 360 End® and is filled with La Colombe’s premium Corsica coffee. The end is fully removable, enabling users to easily pour the ground coffee into a filter or device for brewing. Each can contains a precise 1.3 ounces of coffee under pressure to lock in freshness and to eliminate the guesswork of measurement and the need for additional tools. The MiniVault will be available for sale in select La Colombe retail locations across the United States and on the company’s website beginning this summer.

Sealed Air Invests in Advanced Recycling Company Plastic Energy

Sealed Air Corporation has announced it has signed a collaboration agreement with Plastic Energy, an industry-leading company in advanced recycling technology. Additionally, Sealed Air has made an equity investment in Plastic Energy Global, the parent company of Plastic Energy. Plastic Energy Global was established in 2012 with the goal of creating a circular economy for plastics by diverting plastic waste away from landfills and oceans. Headquartered in London, the company has two operations in Spain and projects developing in Western Europe and Asia, with a vision for 50 new facilities over the next 10 years.
