There has been increasing pressure in the paper board market over the past several months due to the corona virus pandemic. Lack of recycled pulp is having a major impact on the mill supply and additional costs including labor, transportation and chemicals used in the process of the raw materials.
We have negotiated with each mill supplier to keep the cost down as much as possible on these items for you but due to these pressures and the supply-demand balance, mills are pushing through an increase of $50 per ton (.025 per lb) on chip, and liner board.
This equates into a 6% increase and will be effective on all orders shipped after June 18th. Please have new orders to us this week to ensure, as best as possible, that we can ship before the increase.
