Rayonier Advanced Materials Reiterates Commitment to Acquire Tembec

Thanks to the expansion of our laser range, the whole range of reacto® carbonless paper, which are suitable for laser printing, are now available from trade outlets. The laser grades offer customers outstanding printing quality and flawless carbon copy function for a range of different applications. Customers can expect reliable and high-quality paper that helps them to optimize their business processes. The laser grades of the reacto® carbonless paper boast outstanding copying properties after printing. They are ideal for preprint, can be effortlessly used on all dry toner-based printing systems and also work on various inkjet printers.

Paper Excellence Canada announced that it plans to restart the number 3 paper machine at its Catalyst Paper mill in Crofton, British Columbia in early January 2021. The restart reflects the strong performance being delivered by Catalyst’s paper sales force and paper operations making both existing printing and writing grades with new food and packaging papers. The machine was curtailed in the spring of 2020 after the impacts of an external malware attack, a forest fibre shortage, and the COVID-19 pandemic simultaneously impacted paper production as well as global paper demand. Approximately 58 jobs will return with the startup of the paper machine at the Crofton facility bringing its total employee count to about 560. Crofton is one of Canada’s largest pulp and paper mills responsible for injecting almost $3 million into BC’s economy daily.

Carol Hoffman Schoedinger has joined Monadnock Paper Mills, Inc. as Senior Sales Manager. Ms. Schoedinger will have responsibility for selling Monadnock’s full suite of sustainable printing, packaging and technical/specialty papers in the U.S. Midwest. Prior to joining Monadnock, Ms. Schoedinger held a range of sales and business development roles with WestRock, Evergreen Packaging and Appleton Coated. She has a breadth of experience in the paper industry and a strong understanding of the needs of the print design community. Her strengths include developing long standing partnerships and exceeding customer expectations through creative graphic solutions.
