Midland Paper to Introduce Blanks/USA Plastic Paper at Dscoop

Midland Paper, Packaging & Supplies, one of North America’s largest independent distributors of media for business communications, will feature a brand new synthetic paper product line for HP Indigo print technologies at Dscoop 2018 in Dallas TX.

Blanks/USA Plastic Paper is a waterproof poly film that can be used in a multitude of applications such as menus, maps, brochures, instruction manuals, tags and point-of-purchase signage. Blanks/USA Plastic Paper is manufactured in 8 mil, 12 mil and 16 mil constructions and is available in all HP Indigo sizes including B-2. These products can be easily folded, stitched, die-cut, drilled, UV coated and laminated. The entire product line has RIT 3 Star certification.

AAP April 2022 StatShot Report: Publishing Industry Down 2.3% Year-To-Date and 12.6% for April

The Association of American Publishers (AAP) today released its StatShot report for April 2022 reflecting reported revenue for Trade (Consumer Books), Higher Education Course Materials, and Professional Publishing. The report does not include Pre-K revenue due to delays in data collection but will be updated as soon as that data becomes available. Total revenues across all categories, excluding PreK-12, for April 2022 were down 12.6% as compared to April 2021, coming in at $788.3 million. Year-to-date revenues were down 2.3%, at $3.8 billion for the first four months of the year. Trade (Consumer Books) sales were down 8.9% in April, coming in at $685.7 million. eBook revenues were down 8.3% for the month as compared to April 2021 for a total of $84.3 million.

Bauer Media UK’s Audited Circulation Figures

Bauer Media Group has posted its annual circulation figures for its UK Publishing business for 2023. The figures show that Bauer’s portfolio of brands retained their significant newsstand sales while continuing to expand their digital presence.
