Royle Printing is pleased to announce Stacie Pike has joined the team as an Inside Sales Representative. Pike spent the majority of her printing career at nearby Arandell Corporation, where for the last 18 years she dedicated her time collaboratively developing sales support efforts to drive expansion and growth of the catalog business. During her time there, Pike supported the sales team as a Sales Support Specialist. In 2011 she was promoted to Sales Administration Manager, serving as an integral part of the sales and marketing team where drove process improvement and client engagement.

Blackford Capital is excited to announce Aaron Day as CEO of Dickinson and its parent company, "Printing Consolidation Company" (PCC). Dickinson is the first company within PCC, specializing in the religious book printing services industry. After acquiring Dickinson in 2015, Blackford Capital realized it would need an industry seasoned CEO to run the company and continue its acquisitions efforts. "With the addition of Aaron Day as CEO of Dickinson and PCC, we are poised to recruit industry leading talent and complete acquisitions in our core Book Printing segment," said Stephen Parker, chairman of Dickinson. Before joining the company, Day served as CEO of Trend Offset Printing, a commercial printing company, headquartered in Los Alamitos, Calif. After securing Aaron Day as CEO, Blackford Capital hired John Ruther as CFO. Ruther joins after leading The Ruther Group, an international management consulting firm based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The commercial printing industry will grow in 2021. Growth will begin during the second quarter, and accelerate through year end. No company, however, should count on the upturn or the shakeout of weak competitors to make everything right. Much will be different in the post-COVID world. And much of the gains ahead will be reserved for companies already thinking about those differences, and how to make them opportunities rather than threats. Those conclusions are based on the COVID-19 Print Business Indicators Survey, conducted every other month by PRINTING United Alliance and NAPCO Research. Nearly 200 commercial printers participate. The diverse group has annual sales ranging from less than $1 million to more than $700 million, and is located across the U.S. and Canada. We measure percent change in sales in two ways. Year-over-year is the first to capture the depth and breadth of the downturn. Among all companies surveyed, sales fell 16.9%, on average, during the first three quarters of 2020 compared with year earlier levels, declining for 81.9% — by at least 20% for more than half and at least 30% for nearly one-third — and increasing for just 17%. One participant speaks for many when he describes what’s happened this year as a “seismic downturn.”
