The College of Optometrists chooses Springer Nature as new publishing partner in centenary year of its flagship title OPO

Springer Nature has been selected as the new publishing partner for The College of Optometrists’ flagship journal, Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics (OPO), a leading journal for contemporary research in vision science and optometry. It joins the publisher’s portfolio of around 3,000 titles, where the publisher is ranked first in research for the number of top 50 journals by impact factor.

This new collaboration builds on Springer Nature and The College of Optometrists’ commitment to evidence-based high-quality research, expanding access to research with real-world impact for the public, research, policy and the optometric profession. This new partnership comes at a key moment for both Springer Nature and OPO, with OPO celebrating 100 years of publication and research excellence and Springer Nature celebrating its 10th anniversary building on 180+ years of its trusted brands.

Target Corporation Reports Third Quarter Earnings

*Third quarter comparable sales grew 12.7 percent, on top of 20.7 percent growth last year. -Comparable sales growth was driven entirely by traffic. -Store comparable sales increased 9.7 percent, on top of 9.9 percent growth last year. -Digital comparable sales grew 29 percent, following growth of 155 percent last year. -Same-day services (Order Pickup, Drive Up and Shipt) grew nearly 60 percent this year, on top of 200 percent last year. -More than 95 percent of Target's third quarter sales were fulfilled by its stores. *All five core merchandise categories delivered double-digit comparable sales growth, on top of strong sales performance last year.

S&P Global Reports Third Quarter Results

• Reported revenue increased 8%; Adjusted revenue, excluding Engineering Solutions (ES), increased 11%. • GAAP diluted EPS increased 27%, and adjusted diluted EPS increased 10% year over year. • Revenue from Sustainability and Energy Transition products accelerated to 36% year-over-year growth excluding ES. Vitality revenue, which is revenue from new or enhanced products, increased 22% (ex-ES) and contributed 12% of reported revenue in Q3. • Previously announced $500 million ASR has been completed and an additional $1.3 billion ASR to be launched in the coming weeks.
