Allen Press Wins Five Awards at World’s Most Prestigious International Print Competition

Allen Press, Inc. is the recipient of five awards from the Printing & Imaging Association’s (PIA) Premier Print Awards Competition. With over 2,000 entries, the PIA Premier Print Awards is the most prestigious international print competition in the world.

“These awards are the result of our team’s steadfast commitment to the highest standard of print quality,” said Allen Press CEO Randy Radosevich. “We are honored to be recognized by PIA and will continue to enhance our capabilities and technology to better serve our customers.”

Of the winning submissions, three entries won Certificates of Merit and two won Awards of Recognition.

“Obtaining these awards is an incredible accomplishment as there were thousands of submissions including entries from eight other countries. Allen Press’s pieces rose to the top and your entire team should be proud of this achievement,” said Stacy Steiner, Regional Director of Kansas and Missouri for PIA MidAmerica.

Established in 1950, the PIA Premier Print Awards feature printers from around the world and aims to recognize “truly superior print quality and exceptional craftsmanship.” The Best in Show winners will be revealed during the Premier Print Awards reception on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Chicago.

Hungarian folding carton manufacturer Kartonpack boosts productivity by 25 percent with new Speedmaster CX 104 from Heidelberg

Founded in Debrecen in 1952, the Hungarian folding carton manufacturer Kartonpack Dobozipari Nyrt. (Kartonpack) currently employs over 100 staff. With its 70 years of experience in the printing and packaging industry, Kartonpack is one of Hungary’s leading packaging printers. Working in close collaboration with its customers and over 200 suppliers, the company makes packaging for local and multinational pharmaceutical businesses, the cosmetics sector, and the food industry. Kartonpack’s services cover the entire value chain – from structural and graphic design, printing, and die cutting all the way through to the finished folding carton. The company exports its products to Austria, Belgium, Germany, Romania, and Russia. RRD Board Unanimously Determines that Chatham’s Unsolicited Proposal to Acquire RRD for $10.85 Per Share in Cash Constitutes a “Superior Proposal”

R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company announced today that its Board of Directors unanimously determined that an unsolicited proposal from Chatham Asset Management, LLC to acquire all of the common stock of the Company not already owned by Chatham and its affiliates for $10.85 per share in cash constitutes a “Superior Proposal” as defined in the Company’s previously announced definitive merger agreement with affiliates of Atlas Holdings LLC, dated as of November 3, 2021, subject to the condition that Chatham agree to extend the Revised Chatham Proposal until 9:05 a.m. CST on Friday, December 17, 2021. If Chatham refuses to agree to the Timing Condition, the Board will deem the Revised Chatham Proposal as withdrawn and incapable of being accepted by the Company. Under the terms of the Amended Agreement, affiliates of Atlas have agreed to acquire the Company for $10.35 per share in cash. “Today’s announcement is a testament to the robust process we have in place to maximize value for all stockholders,” said John C. Pope, Chairman of the Board. “Our Board and management team remain committed to acting in the best interests of RRD and all its stockholders, and will continue to take actions to achieve this objective.”
