On any given sunny Saturday morning, you can find families enjoying the Irving Nature Park. This past Saturday, families were on trails with a purpose beyond taking in some fresh air; over 200 people participated in the first annual Run for Shelter at Irving Nature Park. Run for Shelter is the result of two Saint John organizations coming together to help end homelessness; Coverdale Centre for Women and Outflow Ministry. Both organizations provide resources and support for people in vulnerable situations to find stable housing and create a better future for themselves.
