Drytac announces global availability of ReTac Clear PET

Drytac, the leading international manufacturer of self-adhesive materials for the large-format print and signage markets, is delighted to announce the global availability of ReTac Clear PET PVC-free film.

The award-winning product was initially launched in North America in September 2023 but is now also being made available to Drytac customers in the UK and in markets across Europe.

A 3.0 mil (75µ) clear polyester (PET) film with a clear ReTac adhesive​, ReTac Clear PET forms part of Drytac’s popular ReTac range of solutions. It has been specifically developed with the environment in mind and is ideal for POP, retail and hospitality window, wall, and counter-top graphics.

The film can be applied to all flat and simple curved surfaces. Installation is clean as the film does not require water to be applied. It also offers residue-free removal, making life easier for users when a graphic has reached the end of its life.

Printable on both Latex and UV machines, ReTac Clear PET is available in roll widths of up to 54 inches (approx. 137cm). It is coated on one side with ReTac ultra removable adhesive, protected by a siliconized kraft release paper.

Swedish road and infrastructure operator Svevia has decided to collaborate with Stora Enso in testing lignin in asphalt. Through this collaboration, Svevia aims to replace part of the oil-based binder with nature’s own binder – lignin, Lineo ™ by Stora Enso. The lignin containing asphalt is currently being tested out on Swedish roads. Svevia is carrying out road paving work on road 224 between the towns of Sandbrink and Gnesta on behalf of the Swedish Transport Administration. The Paper Excellence Group and Resolute Forest Products Inc. announced their intention to sell Resolute's Thunder Bay pulp and paper mill to further facilitate the regulatory review process. "Today's announcement is a clear demonstration of our commitment to timely complete the acquisition of Resolute," said Patrick Loulou, vice chair and chief strategy officer of the Paper Excellence Group. "This is a very hard thing to do, but we believe it is necessary in order to accelerate our strategic combination with the Paper Excellence Group," stated Remi G. Lalonde, Resolute's president and chief executive officer. "The mill is an exceptional asset. Verso Corporation Reports Second Quarter 2017 Financial Results

Verso Corporation reported financial results for the second quarter of 2017, including net sales of $585 million, a net loss of $49 million, and adjusted EBITDA of $(4) million. "Despite a challenging second quarter in which profitability was hampered by lower volume and pricing, rising input costs and inventory reduction initiatives, Verso is building momentum toward significantly improved results in the second half of the year as we anticipate realization of price increases, continue to aggressively cut costs and profitably grow our specialty papers business," said Verso Chief Executive Officer B.
