Modern Litho Announces An Exclusive Agreement With James Mulligan Printing Co.

Modern Litho, a full-service commercial, catalog and publication printer headquartered in Jefferson City, Missouri, announces an exclusive agreement with James Mulligan Printing Co. (Mulligan Printing) of St. Louis for the transfer of its commercial printing and business operations to Modern Litho.

“Mulligan Printing has had a successful presence in the St. Louis print industry for many years with well-established customer relationships and high standards of service. We look forward to the opportunity to continue and build on this tradition by bringing an enhanced level of capability and quality to the marketplace,” commented Darrell Moore, Modern Litho President.

Established in 1865 as a family-owned business, Mulligan Printing capabilities have included offset and digital printing with complete bindery and finishing, in addition to label printing through its subsidiary, Color Label. Jerry Kiske, co-owner of Mulligan Printing, noted, “We’re excited to have found a great fit for our commercial printing customers and we’re thrilled as many of our Mulligan employees will continue serving them as part of the Modern Litho-St. Louis team.”

Color Label is being retained by Mulligan Printing and will continue operations while the commercial and digital printing division will cease at its current facility at 1808 Washington Ave, St. Louis, MO. The employees joining Modern Litho-St. Louis will move to the company’s location at 5111 Southwest Ave, St. Louis, MO.

MCI Printing Adds RMGT Four-Color 9 Series Offset Press (piworld.com)

Graphco, distributor of the leading eight-up sheetfed press in North America, delivered an RMGT 9 Series, four-color sheetfed press to MCI Printing, Inc.’s production facility in St. Louis, MO, this past February. Up and running now for three months, the 25x36.75” (maximum sheet size) machine is conserving paper/spoilage waste during press makereadies between MCI’s jobs. It is also opening up new opportunities, including larger page volumes of publication printing. The 924 model outputs 16-page signatures, allowing MCI to add full-size capabilities to the direct mail, packaging, brochure, booklet and presentation folder printing that the firm reproduces. The family-owned business has 14 employees and is counted among the area’s top 20 commercial printers, according to St. Louis Post-Dispatch rankings.

Worzalla and Bria Bella & Co. Collect More Than 500 Pairs of Socks for “Socktember” Campaign

Worzalla and Bria Bella & Co., a local women’s apparel store, combined efforts to collect socks for families in need during their “Socktember” campaign. During the month of September, associates at both companies solicited donations of socks to help supply this basic need to families ahead of the winter holidays. More than 500 pairs of socks were collected and donated to the Stevens Point Area School District, where District social workers will distribute to children and families who need them. “If I came across a family who needed anything, from socks to toiletries, I would drop these items off to these families to help them stay warm and healthy,” said Peg Bach, recently retired School Social Worker for Stevens Point Area School District who participated in the campaign. “This donation of socks will keep more than 500 pairs of feet warm this winter, thank you to Worzalla and Bria Bella & Co.”
