The Navigator Company to increase paper prices by 5-7%

Drytac, the leading international manufacturer of self-adhesive materials for the large-format print and signage markets, is delighted to announce that Glen Fitzgerald has been promoted to the position of Director of Sales for the Americas. In his new role, Glen will assume responsibility for overseeing all graphic and industrial sales across the Americas, a key region for Drytac. Glen has been promoted to the senior role after serving as Technical Sales Manager for Industrial Products in Canada since joining Drytac in September of 2021. He played a major part in Drytac’s ongoing expansion within the Canadian market in that time.

Canfor Pulp Products Inc. is announcing the immediate curtailment of its Intercontinental Pulp Mill, which is expected to be in place for four weeks. The curtailment is due to the lack of available economic fibre as a result of sawmill curtailments. The downtime will remove approximately 24,000 tonnes of market kraft pulp. “The sawmill curtailments occurring in BC are materially reducing the residual fibre available for pulp mills. Based on the near-term fibre outlook, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily curtail Intercontinental Pulp Mill,” said Kevin Edgson, President & CEO, Canfor Pulp. “We regret the impact the downtime will have on our employees, their families, our suppliers and the community. We are working to support them through this time.”

After the release of the stock exchange notice of today at 17:21, the company has been informed that the board of Norske Skog AS has decided to support an extension of the consent solicitation deadline for the board's recapitalization proposal. However, due to practical matters, it was not possible to make the Norske Skog AS resolution within the deadline at 17:00 CET, and consequently, the offer period has expired. The discussions with the key stakeholder groups will continue in order to achieve a consensual recapitalization solution for the Norske Skog group during the next days even though the offer period has expired. If these discussions are successful, an updated recapitalization proposal will be launched.
