Pratt Invests in High Graphics and Advanced Print Technologies

To meet the growing demand for faster speed to market and a more agile supply chain, Pratt Industries has committed to strategic growth initiatives across our nationwide network, and a top priority is staying at the forefront of the high graphics movement.

Pratt’s high graphics investments offer our customers quality graphic solutions through a combination of advanced print technologies and value driven options. We strive to find the best print solution to satisfy the corrugated packaging needs and budgets of our customers by investing in state-of-the-art technology and equipment.

Pratt Lewisburg, OH recently added an HP PageWide digital web press to its already impressive equipment lineup in order to increase speed to market and flexibility while complementing their flexo and offset graphic capabilities. “We have the capabilities and expertise to offer customers the best supply chain solution for their high graphics packaging needs,” said Sergio Morales, General Manager.

For direct to consumer packaging and point-of-purchase display customers, Pratt has invested in new single pass digital printers that eliminate the need for tooling, pre-press and external paper printing. Pratt’s Hebron, KY and Austell, GA locations offer a streamlined print workflow solution, superior graphic quality and personalization capabilities.

“Our high speed digital printing technology increases the ease, speed, and flexibility of executing high graphic programs, while using eco-friendly water based inks.” said Anthony Pratt, Executive Global Chairman. “Coupled with our state of the art laser cutting technology, we are delivering the industry’s fastest print to order platform. This production strategy eliminates pre-press and plate costs, greatly accelerates speed to market, and gives our customers a competitive marketplace advantage.”

Pratt has also invested in new, high speed graphics laminators for several of its locations, including Pratt’s Lewisburg and Austell converters and the new innovation and manufacturing center in Cedar Hill, TX. The technology allows Pratt to combine high graphics printed sheets or roll to single face corrugated.

Additionally, Pratt has added automation technologies across its network that decrease the need for manual touchpoints and increase quality, line efficiency and speed to market.
