Take part in the 2016 FSC Global Market Survey

FSC is calling on certificate holders and trademark service licence holders to participate in its 2016 Global Market Survey. We would like to thank those who have already completed the survey – your feedback is really appreciated.

This year, we are extending the invitation to take part in the survey also to FSC trademark service licensees. The survey results will help us plan our strategic work and fine-tune our service delivery. The Global Market Survey is one of the main tools we use to understand market needs and receive feedback on our tools and services.

Respondents have an opportunity to participate in a prize draw to win free advertisement space on FSC Marketplace. The winners will be announced on the FSC International website.

All FSC certificate holders and trademark service licence holders who provided valid contact details have received the survey invitations by 1 September 2016. The survey will close on 28 September 2016. If you did not receive the invitation, we recommend you contact your certification body or trademark service provider. They will help you check that your contact information for the FSC Public Search is up to date.

Resolute Has Reduced Absolute GHG Emissions by 83% Since 2000

In 2011, Resolute made an ambitious commitment: to reduce our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (scope 1 and 2) by 65% by 2015, compared to 2000 levels. Thanks to significant efforts deployed across our operations, we reached our goal ahead of schedule. But we didn’t stop there – at the end of 2019, we reached a new high of 83%. Sustainable forest management in Myanmar one-step closer

One year on, and our project to support Myanmar as it reforms its forest sector is gathering pace. This was clear last month, as the Myanmar Forest Certification Committee (MFCC) held its first annual multi-stakeholder coordination meeting. The half-day coordination meeting was attended by a range of stakeholders, including the Myanmar Government’s Forestry Department, Timber Enterprise and Department of Research and Innovation, FAO, FLEGT VPA advisors, international and national NGOs, certification bodies and the private sector. This coordination meeting marks an important step in this 3-year project to support the country as it transitions to the sustainable management of its forests, funded jointly by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, PEFC and MFCC. Amcor Rigid Packaging Colombia Operations Now Powered with Solar Energy

Amcor Rigid Packaging´s (ARP) Cali plant in Colombia is now powered by renewable solar energy. The solar energy is supplied to Amcor exclusively from Celsia, a new solar plant comprised of more than 16,000 solar panels generating nearly nine million watts of electricity. Incorporating solar power means the Cali Colombia plant is fully powered by renewable energy – a blend of solar and hydroelectric power. Adding solar power will reduce the plant's conventional electric energy consumption by 20%. The remaining 80% of energy used to fuel the plant is provided by renewable hydroelectric energy, also certified by Celsia. In addition, the transition between solar and hydroelectric energy will reduce total emission of 7,388 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) per year.
