USPS Reports Steady Service Performance Across All Categories

The United States Postal Service reported new delivery performance metrics for the fourth week of the fiscal fourth quarter. The latest data shows continued strong performance across First-Class Mail, Marketing Mail, and Periodicals. For the third week of FY2022 Q4, the average time for the Postal Service to deliver a mailpiece or package across the postal network was 2.4 days.

FY2022 fourth quarter service performance scores covering July 22 through July 29 included:
*First-Class Mail: 93.2 percent of First-Class Mail delivered on time against the USPS service standard, consistent with performance from the fiscal third quarter.
*Marketing Mail: 94 percent of Marketing Mail delivered on time against the USPS service standard, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points from the fiscal third quarter.
*Periodicals: 86.3 percent of Periodicals delivered on time against the USPS service standard, consistent with performance from the fiscal third quarter.
