New Update to Informed Delivery

Informed Delivery users can now view images of their household’s incoming mail and manage their package deliveries, the Postal Service announced today.

More than seven million Informed Delivery users who opt-in to receive email notifications can now view their mail in their daily digest emails and also see tracking information about the expected delivery of their packages. Also, users are able to track package deliveries, leave delivery instructions and schedule redelivery from the online Informed Delivery dashboard.

“Our customers can now use their Informed Delivery emails to see the delivery status of their incoming packages and when they’re expected to arrive,” explained Production Innovation Vice President Gary Reblin. “It’s another example of how Informed Delivery is meeting customers’ needs.”

Launched earlier this year, Informed Delivery is an innovative feature offered by the Postal Service that benefits the entire household, ensuring everyone is able to preview mail and manage packages expected to arrive soon.

AAP StatShot Annual Report: Book Publishing Revenues Up Slightly to $25.93 Billion in 2019

The Association of American Publishers (AAP) today released the StatShot Annual report for Calendar Year 2019, estimating that the U.S. book publishing industry generated $25.93 billion in annual revenue, up by 1.1% as compared to 2018. In terms of units the report estimates that 2.76 billion units were sold. All figures represent publishers’ net revenue from tracked categories (trade, higher education course materials, PreK-12 instructional materials, professional books, and university press), in all formats, from all distribution channels. Overall publishing industry revenue was essentially flat, coming in at $25.93 billion for the year, which was a 1.1% increase as compared to $25.63 billion in 2018.

HMH Acquires Award-Winning Software Company Writable

Learning technology company HMH today announced it has acquired award-winning software company Writable, building on a longstanding partnership between the organizations that includes the integration of Writable’s research-backed writing assessment and practice solution with HMH’s core ELA offerings for grades 3-12.
