Aptar Named One of America’s Climate Leaders by USA Today for Third Consecutive Year

Aptar’s consistent recognition as a climate leader underscores its dedication to environmental stewardship. The company has implemented a comprehensive climate transition plan aligned with the latest climate science, aiming to support the transition towards a low-carbon economy. By year-end 2024, Aptar achieved significant milestones, including sourcing more than 95% of its total global electricity consumption from renewable sources. In addition, the company was recognized for its actions to cut emissions, mitigate climate risks and further the low-carbon economy, by environmental non-profit CDP, securing a place on its prestigious “Climate A List” for 2024.

Aptar has been actively reducing emissions for much longer than the two-years that this ranking considers. Since the Company’s baseline year 2019, Aptar has achieved a reduction of more than 75% of Scope 1 + Scope 2 absolute emissions, as monitored toward their validated science-based target.

In addition to this recognition from USA Today, Aptar has also been named among America’s Most Responsible Companies 2024 by Newsweek for six consecutive years and one of Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable U.S. Companies for seven consecutive years.

Packaging Corporation of America Completes Acquisition of Sacramento Container Corporation

Packaging Corporation of America announced that it has completed its acquisition of the assets of Sacramento Container Corporation and 100% of the membership interests of Northern Sheets, LLC and Central California Sheets, LLC in a cash-free, debt-free transaction. Funding for the $265 million purchase price came from available cash on hand. PCA Chairman and CEO Mark Kowlzan said, “Completing the acquisition of Sacramento Container, Northern Sheets and Central California sheets continues to further PCA’s strategic objectives. We welcome our new employees to PCA and look forward to quickly integrating these operations into our company.”
