Modern Litho Names Mark Gerling VP of Sales

Modern Litho, a full-service commercial printer and mailer based in Jefferson City, Missouri with additional production facilities in St. Louis and Kansas City, has announced the appointment of Mark Gerling to Vice President of Sales.

Hired for this role in 2020, Gerling was on special assignment for the past three years through the disruption and aftermath of the pandemic. He will now lead the Modern Litho sales teams on a local, regional and national level while continuing to focus on developing catalog and publication reseller relationships.

“Mark has done a fantastic job melding into our company culture, getting to know our customers, and impacting our success in the marketplace. He is a valued and welcome addition to our executive team as we continue to grow and expand our national presence,” commented Greg Meeker, Chief Revenue Officer.

Gerling brings over thirty years of print sales and sales management experience to this role which is being vacated by Greg Meeker who is taking the role of Chief Revenue Officer. Meeker will continue to oversee strategic accounts, sales, and marketing.

First Installation of RMGT 10 Series Press Powered by LED-UV in Chicago

In late September 2017, the first RMGT 10 Series Press powered by LED-UV curing and featuring a full suite of RMGT makeready and print quality technology, will be installed at VISOgraphic’s 40,000-sq.-ft. facility based here. When Chicago area commercial, digital and packaging printer VISOgraphic began its search for the new 40” offset printing press that would propel them through the growth spurt they are experiencing, the RMGT 10 Series really wasn't on its radar. However, after several meetings and visits to key RMGT customers in the Midwest, the decision to move ahead with RMGT was made by the VISOgraphic management team.

Evolution Achieves High-end, Higher-volume Success with EFI VUTEk LED Hybrid Printer

Electronics For Imaging, Inc. today reported that Northampton, U.K-based graphics production company Evolution has installed an EFI™ VUTEk® GS3250LX Pro LED hybrid roll/flatbed printer. Evolution chose the 3.2-metre wide printer for its speed, quality of build, and low downtime and running costs. Previously, when its superwide-format graphics work volumes became too large, the company often outsourced to other providers. Now, Evolution can produce that work in-house with a printer that is several times faster than its old flatbed printer. Although Evolution’s machine operators are new to using the printer, they were able to get trained quickly, taking very little time to start producing high volumes of work – more than 200 2440mm x 1220mm panels a day for clients.
