The Great Lakes Graphics Association (GLGA) has announced that Julie Lopezlena has joined the association as their new Sales and Member Engagement Director for Illinois and Indiana. Ms. Lopezlena, a native of Minnesota, grew up in her family’s printing business. Before joining GLGA, she served as the director of sales for Navitor, Inc., overseeing the management of sales operations for multiple products and print technology. Her deep background also includes experience in international business development both with Taylor Corporation in Mexico City and with Euromonitor International in Chicago. In GLGA’s newly created Sales and Member Engagement Director position, Ms. Lopezlena is responsible for identifying and cultivating new strategic relationships toward the development of new members for the association. She also will assist current members in strategic use of GLGA’s services and benefits to maximize their return on investment.

CREEL has completed the acquisition of the offset printing operations in Las Vegas known as Creel Printing from LSC Communications. The acquisition returns control of the offset business to the Creel family who founded it in the 1950s. The new CREEL will operate from the state-of-the-art, 250,000-square-foot Las Vegas facility that previously served as the company’s headquarters. The business has made significant recent investments including a new 55" web press and numerous stitching and inserting lines. The acquisition includes substantially all of the employees in the offset business, including skilled pressmen, plant supervisors, operations staff, and customer service specialists, many of whom have been with the company for over 20 years. CREEL will be managed by industry veterans, and Allan G. Creel will return as its President.

*Thomas Morin named President and Chief Executive Officer *Isabelle Marcoux named Executive Chair of the Board *Donald LeCavalier named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. The Board of Directors of Transcontinental Inc. announced the appointment of Thomas Morin as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. Mr. Morin previously served as President of TC Transcontinental Packaging, beginning in 2019. He replaces Peter Brues, who is leaving the Company. The Board also announced expanded roles for Isabelle Marcoux and Donald LeCavalier.
