Allen Press, Inc. is pleased to announce that Terry Leatherman has been promoted to Manager of Association Management Services. Leatherman joined Allen Press in February 2017 as an Association Manager.
In his new role, Leatherman will oversee and expand the Allen Press Association Management division, which provides membership management, strategic consultation, database administration, customer service and annual meeting coordination to non-profit societies and associations.
“Terry’s exemplary work with our clients and executive management experience make him a terrific fit for this position,” said Maria Preston-Cargill, Allen Press Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “He’s a great asset to our organization and the clients we represent, and we are thrilled to have him leading our team going forward.”
Over the years, Leatherman has worked in a variety of association management roles. He served as President and CEO of Housing and Credit Counseling, Inc., and prior to that was the Executive Vice President of Communities at Schools of Kansas.
“It’s been my privilege to bring the knowledge and experiences I’ve gathered over my career to the clients at Allen Press. They are outstanding professionals, and I am delighted to partner with them so we can accomplish more together,” said Leatherman.
When asked about the vision for his new role, Leatherman said he wants to position Allen Press as a strategic partner to societies rather than just an association management vendor. To meet his objective, Leatherman looks forward to leveraging the talents and skills of his team and facilitating continuous improvement within the division.
“I find it really exciting when each team member can excel in their individual jobs, while contributing to the overall growth of a company,” said Leatherman. “Success is something every employee can share in.”
