USPS Issues First-Year Progress Report on Achievements from Delivering for America 10-Year Plan

The U.S. Postal Service today released a First-Year Progress Report on Delivering for America (DFA), its 10-year plan to return the organization to financial sustainability and achieve service excellence while maintaining universal six-day mail delivery and expanding seven-day package delivery.

“We have made significant progress in the first year of our Delivering for America plan, but our work is far from over,” said Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer Louis DeJoy. “Our employees are playing an integral role in the advancement of the plan. As we continue to implement components of the plan, we expect to significantly improve on-time delivery performance, operational capacity, precision and efficiency, and to do so in a financially sustainable manner over the coming decade. Delivering for America is helping to drive a new sense of purpose and focus across all levels in the organization.”

Print Unit Sales Still Solid in Late October

Strong gains in all categories led to a 13% increase in unit sales of print books in the week ended Oct. 24, 2020, over the comparable week in 2019, at outlets that report to NPD BookScan. The double-digit increase came despite only a few new books making a splash. Matthew McConaughey’s Greenlights was the #1 title in the week, selling about 78,000 copies and boosting sales in the adult nonfiction category 6.2% over the week ended Oct. 26, 2019. USPS Average Mail Delivery Time Consistent at 2.5 Days

FY2022 fourth quarter service performance scores covering July 1 through August 5 included: *First-Class Mail: 93.1 percent of First-Class Mail delivered on time against the USPS service standard, consistent with performance from the fiscal third quarter. *Marketing Mail: 94.2 percent of Marketing Mail delivered on time against the USPS service standard, consistent with performance from the fiscal third quarter. *Periodicals: 86.3 percent of Periodicals delivered on time against the USPS service standard, consistent with performance from the fiscal third quarter.

IAC Reports Q4 2022 Results

Q4 2022 Highlights: * Angi Inc. revenue increased 6% year-over-year to $442 million, operating loss increased to $60 million (compared to a loss of $29 million in Q4 2021) and Adjusted EBITDA increased to $16 million (compared to a loss of $3 million in Q4 2021). * Dotdash Meredith Digital revenue was $260 million and Print revenue was $224 million. Pro Forma revenue decreased 26% due to 14% Digital declines and 36% Print declines. o Operating loss of $9 million and Adjusted EBITDA of $73 million in Q4 2022 reflect $21 million of restructuring charges and transaction-related items *Emerging & Other revenue decreased 16% year-over-year to $177 million, operating income increased 583% to $8 million and Adjusted EBITDA increased 2% to $12 million. Q4 revenue reflects: o The sale of Bluecrew on November 9, 2022, and 34% lower IAC Films revenue o 53% growth from Vivian Health and 3% growth from Care.com
