Well-Known Washington Journalist and Columnist Team Up To Write Book on the Spiritual Life of Donald Trump

Broadside Books, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, has acquired World Rights to The Faith of Donald J. Trump: A Spiritual Biography for publication in January 2018. The new book, by David Brody, the Chief Political Correspondent for the Christian Broadcasting Network and Scott Lamb, the “Jesus in the Public Square” columnist for The Washington Times, draw on unparalleled access to the White House to explore the rarely discussed, but deeply important, religious beliefs and worldview of Donald J. Trump and his advisors. The deal was negotiated by Eric Nelson, VP/Editorial Director of Broadside Books, with one of the authors, Scott Lamb, who is also the Owner of Calliope Media.

In part, the authors argue, President Trump won over evangelicals not by pandering to them, but by supporting them and all their most important issues without pretending to be something he’s not. He has surrounded himself with believers who think he is the one guiding figure who can return us to the traditional values—hard work, discipline, duty, respect, and faith—that have long been the foundation of American life, and truly make America great again in all ways.

“Donald Trump has kept his support high among evangelicals,” said Eric Nelson. “The world needs to understand this little-covered part of his inner life and his political base.”

Customers are facing an unexpected and steep increase in USPS mailing rates sometime this summer — even while service standards remain miserably low. The first indication that something was seriously wrong with operations at the USPS came last July, when newly appointed PG Louis DeJoy changed trucking regulations. On-time mail deliveries plummeted. It was so bad that a Washington DC District Court judge ruled they must reverse the changes in October and file daily paperwork with their progress. Now, the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) tells us to expect an additional rate increase this summer of anywhere between 5.5% for first-class and up to 7.5% for marketing flats and periodicals.
