Aptar Pharma Continues Global Expansion with North America Capacity Extension

Aptar today announced the next phase of its global capacity expansion plan in North America, at its Aptar Congers, New York site. This investment will help Aptar meet the growing prescription and consumer healthcare customer demand for proprietary drug delivery systems in North America. The North America Capacity Extension will benefit local customers.

Manufacturing began at Aptar Congers in 2002 with a cleanroom and the production of Aptar Pharma’s VP3 pumps, and today the site manufactures a wide range of proprietary drug delivery products for nasal and injectable delivery routes. Manufacturing capabilities at the Congers facility will be further expanded to offer even more innovative product solutions and increased production capacity to Aptar Pharma customers in North America.

To support increasing patient demand for systemic nasal delivery, Aptar Pharma is significantly expanding the manufacturing capacity of its proprietary Unidose (UDS) Nasal Spray Systems via the addition of molds and assembly lines in cleanroom manufacturing settings, with the additional capacity planned to come online in Q4 2024.

NORPAC Announces Arrival of New Recycling Equipment for Packaging Papers

North Pacific Paper Company (NORPAC) is excited to announce the arrival of a new state-of-the-art drum pulper that will help the company expand its production of lightweight recycled packaging papers and safeguard more than 400 mill jobs and support other indirect jobs in Cowlitz County. The new pulper just arrived at the Port of Longview and will be moved this week to the NORPAC mill. The pulper and other mill infrastructure upgrades represent more than a $50 million capital investment that will expand Longview mill operations to transform wastepaper into lightweight recycled papers for corrugated boxes, displays, bags and various other packaging products.

Amcor first to offer cooking oil bottles made entirely from recycled content in Colombia

Amcor Rigid Packaging (ARP) has created a more responsible bottle for one of the country’s most popular ingredients – cooking oil. It’s the first cooking oil bottle in the country made from 100% recycled content. “ARP worked with Gourmet to create more sustainable bottles for the edible cooking oil industry,” said Alexander Alvarez, general manager of ARP Colombia. “The Amcor team in Cali, Colombia, partnered with resin suppliers and applied their knowledge and expertise to create a bottle that was made completely from recycled content.” ARP refined its bottles to ensure it is safe, causes no change in taste and is transparent – while maintaining Gourmet’s visual branding.
