Day 1: Amazon Prime event spurs $7.9 billion in U.S. ecommerce sales

That’s the single largest day of 2025 so far for U.S. ecommerce sales. It also marks 9.9% year-over-year growth compared to the first day of the summer Prime event in 2024. But to be clear, that’s not $7.9 billion spent on Amazon.com. Amazon has not publicly disclosed how much it made in sales from the first day.
